There is something for everyone in Deal, Kent. Described as ‘Britain’s most beautiful seaside town’, Deal has an excellent range of independent shops, a weekly Saturday market, 2 castles, wonderful architecture, a quarter-mile long pier with great views along the historic seafront and 3 small museums all within walking distance.
The TImeball Tower is an iconic Grade II listed building on the seafront, a reminder of the importance of the town to the navy in Georgian times, now a museum. The timeball signal was established in 1855. The timeball, which fell at 1 pm precisely, was triggered by an electric signal so that ships could check their chronometers. It was administered by the Royal Observatory from 1864 until 1927 when it became obsolete and its operation was ceased.

AVAILABILITY: There are a limited number of places available, which are allocated on a 'first come first served basis'. Our day trips are organised on the basis that a minimum number of persons will travel. If we receive insufficient bookings then we may cancel the trip in which case we will notify you 7 days before departure.

Payment will be taken utilising Paypal but don't forget that you DO NOT NEED a Paypal account, nor do you need to open one to make a payment.
